Artist's Comments

This fits more under "Horror" than "Macabre".

I like scarecrows, for some time now... this drawing is based on the design i made for my halloween mask. It turned out pretty good, but since i was using my own head as the model to work on, i wound up with some extra fabric in the back that made it kinda bulky. Cool nonetheless.. even won me some contests (by contests, i mean one, for scariest costume- which is all that matters :) ). The rest of the costume was alright... without the mask, i kinda looked Lord of the Ring-ish.

Excellent work. I love the details and design. Wonderful technique. The balance and structure are beautiful. Nightmarish and original.

Dude, that's freak'n bad ass. It looms in the styles of one of my biggest influences, Berni Wrightson.

Very creepy. I adore the ammount of detail and the contrast. Really nice composition. I'm not amazed you won a contest with the costume.

It is said that in Ulthar, which lies beyond the river Skai, no man may kill a cat; and this I can verily believe as I gaze upon him who sitteth purring before the fire. For the cat is cryptic, and close to strange things which men cannot see.
